Last updated: 27 October 2026

This privacy policy explains how DroneTjek ApS collects and uses personal data when you visit dronetjek.dk, contact us, or work with us. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.

1. Who is responsible for your data

DroneTjek ApS

Ringager 28, 2605 Brøndby, Denmark

CVR: 41824751

If you have questions about this policy or about how we handle your personal data, contact us at info@dronetjek.dk.

2. What data we collect and why

When you contact us

When you use our contact form, send us an email or call us, we receive the information you give us, typically your name, email address, phone number, company and your message. We use it to answer your enquiry, prepare a quote and follow up on it.

Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Customers and business partners

When we carry out an inspection or work with a company, we process contact details of the people we deal with, such as name, job title, email and phone number, as well as information needed to deliver the agreed service and invoice it.

Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), our legitimate interest in managing customer relationships (Art. 6(1)(f)) and legal obligations such as bookkeeping (Art. 6(1)(c)).

Website statistics

If you accept statistics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and how visitors find us. The data is used in aggregated form to improve the website.

Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on the website. Read more in our Cookie Policy.

Technical data, security and language

When you visit the website, technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request is processed so the website can be delivered, kept secure and protected against spam and misuse. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a form is sent by a person and not by an automated program.

We use your IP address to determine which country you are visiting from, so we can show you the website in Danish or English. This lookup happens on our own server, and the result is not used for any other purpose.

The website uses fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers when a page is loaded.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Social media

We have company pages on LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Our website only links to these pages; it does not load social media tracking. When you visit or interact with our pages on these platforms, the platform’s own privacy policy applies. For page statistics on LinkedIn, we and LinkedIn are jointly responsible for the processing, and we only receive aggregated, anonymous statistics.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it when it is necessary for the purposes described above, with:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf, such as our web hosting provider (Simply.com, Denmark), email and IT providers, Google (website statistics and fonts) and Cloudflare (spam protection). They act under data processing agreements and may only use the data on our instructions.
  • Partners and subcontractors where needed to deliver a service you have ordered.
  • Public authorities where we are required to by law.

4. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Some of our service providers, such as Google and Cloudflare, may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. In that case the transfer is based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses, so your data remains protected.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries: as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, and at most 2 years after our last contact, unless a customer relationship is established.
  • Customer and contract data: for as long as the customer relationship lasts and afterwards as required by law, for example 5 years plus the current financial year for accounting records under the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
  • Website statistics: according to the retention settings in Google Analytics, at most 14 months.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data erased
  • restrict the processing of your data
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest
  • receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format (data portability)
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

To use your rights, email info@dronetjek.dk. We will reply within one month.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limited access to the data.

8. Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your personal data, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, www.datatilsynet.dk.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The latest version is always available on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last updated.
